Get out and get happy!

Today, marathon runner and community leader Colin Harris will complete the last leg of his cross country journey in support of the Take Me Outside project. Harris has run across Canada to promote the benefits of getting children, youth and adults outside and physically active; his last marathon will take place on Vancouver Island, in the CRD, where he will end his run at Mile Zero.

In honour of the project, Harris is asking both students and adults to go outside today to celebrate the end of his cross Canada journey, which included visits to schools across the country to educate youth and teachers on the benefits of outdoor recreation, physical activity and learning in nature.

Join Colin as he takes his final steps today by going outside wherever you are, and enjoying the pleasures and beauty of our natural environment.
