Have a love for greasy foods? Do bacon, sausage and ground beef
make a regular appearance in your refrigerator? If so, we have the
perfect challenge for you!

Throughout the month of February, you can register to be a part
of the first ever Phat King Challenge. Fats, oils
and grease should never go down the drain, but instead be placed in
sealable containers, refrigerated, and once solid thrown out with
your household garbage. Now we are challenging you to go one step
further and collect them. And If you collect the largest
amount within the one month period you could win an Xbox 360
with Kinect bundle.

That's the message the CRD is spreading this holiday by offering
residents ideas on how to put a green twist on gifts. Partnering
with Metro Vancouver, we are spreading the word on experiential
giving, and we have lots of great ideas including bungee jumping
for adventurous types like Lena, or something as simple as giving
the gift of time which seems to be in short supply for many of
us.

It's all connected. We've heard this phrase applied to the
environment, to the choices we make about the foods we eat, the
trips we take and the things we buy. But this connection also
extends to how we travel each day, not just those long distance
airplane rides.
